Sunday afternoon, I spent my time on River Road as a motivational music man during the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for the American Cancer Society. Since my station was out on the course, I didn’t get to participate in the opening ceremonies, but the walkers all came past me on the course.
I also wanted to make a point to take a photo of the first survivor that past me. The American Cancer Society wants to find a cure, but I wanted to make sure we didn’t forget about those who have been successfully treated.
