The Parklands of Floyds Fork

Last Friday night, the Voice-Tribune sent me to cover a program on 21st Century Parks and the Parklands of Floyds Fork at the house of Kevin Grangier, owner of the Village Anchor in Anchorage. To say “what a house,” epitomizes understatement. By the same token, to say “what a program” does the same thing.

Mr. Grangier  and the rest of the particulars explained the plans in the works of one of the largest and most ambitious public parks projects in the country. The 21st Century Parks organization see this as an extension of Frederick Law Olmstead‘s vision for the parks system of Louisville. Look for completion of the project in 2015. Meanwhile, check out the preview of the program below and the full gallery this week in the Voice-Tribune and on Voice-Tribune.com
