Last night, Louisville got to raise money for the Louisville affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and it got to do a little partying besides at the Pink Prom. Co-founders Jason Brown and Joey Wagner invited Louisvillians to the Gillespie in their prom attire for the event in which 100% of the proceeds went to the charity. Metromix sent me along to capture the prom goers antics.
Everyone came with a festive mood. It seemed almost like this served as the do-over prom. In high school, lots of people didn’t know how to approach the prom. This time around when you brought your date, she might be wife, husband, long-time partner so you already had your plan (wink) for the end of the night.
At the end of the night, the Pink Prom raised $11,350 from the event and I got great photos. What you see here are the outtakes. Even better ones get posted at Metromix. Check the gallery below for more.
