The color red splashed itself around town pretty much day. I had the good fortune of covering it in a couple of locations. I started the day at the KFC Yum! Center for the University of Louisville Alumni Association’s Homecoming on Main, camera in hand, making photos for the Voice-Tribune.
Fans of the Cards came for the gigantic pep rally. Early on, the plaza’s Jumbotron played the Cardinal football game against the Pitt Panthers. Later in the day, the marching band played, the cheerleaders cheered and the basketball held its red-white scrimmage where the public got a chance to see how good the high-flying Cards will be in the upcoming season.
I covered the football game via television since Louisville.com couldn’t send me to Heinz Field. To say the day had me multitasking would be an understatement. However, I have a preview gallery of what will be in the Voice-Tribune on Thursday. And click here to see my game coverage on Louisville.com. The Cards won, by the say, 45-35.
