When it comes to creating traditions, it’s a lot of fun when you do it with littles ones. About three years ago, we started going with Emma to the Kentucky Derby Festival Balloon Glimmer at Waterfront Park in Fest-A-Ville. I wrote a sneak peak last week after the Glimmer, but here are the others photos I took, starting with Emma herself.
I left from work to meet them at the Glimmer so when we saw each other, there were quick hugs, of course, because Uncle Tim is a hugger. After that, Emma and I were like peas in a pod. It’s really hard to overstate how much we enjoy each others company. I’ve been Uncle Tim since she was born so the affection is genuine.
And we saw some awesome sights, like every year. Now this year, the larger Balloon Glow ended up being postponed because of weather, but we like the smaller Glimmer. Not as many people so you can really get some good views of the balloons. I imagine that we’ll be fans for quite some time to come.
