One of my favorite genres of photography is the senior portrait, and not just because my son is a senior in high school. One of the things I find most attractive about that style of photography is the fact that you get to document kids becoming adults and the senior portrait is a right of passage. It’s one of those things like prom and graduation that marks the fact that you’re now considered a grownup.
Over the weekend, we got a chance to work with Hannah, who was awesome. We began the photos at Waverly Park, which is a cherished place from her childhood. I think comfort is a good idea when doing portraits and, since I was a new entity for her, making those photos in a place she knows helped a great deal. Not that Hannah needed any help, as you see. She’s a beautiful senior and made it easy to create beautiful photos. Thanks, Hannah. I can’t wait to show you more.
