I spent part of my Memorial Day covering an event for the Voice-Tribune and I’m happy I got to witness the 2018 Enshrinement Ceremony. The Louisville area armed forces veterans came together at the Patriots Peace Memorial to enshrine three heroes.
As part of the ceremony, the veterans and attendees honored Steven Hopkins from the Navy, John Munz from the Coast Guard and James Page from the Army. And to see veterans honor their own is awe-inspiring. I’m no neo-con Republican quick to jump to war kind of guy. But for the brave men and women who serve are to be commended and honored. And it should be more than just once a year.
Thank you veterans for allowing me to witness your beautiful ceremony.
