About

This Is Louisville was created by photographer Tim Girton in response to all the bad news coming out about the city he has lived in all of his adult life. Crime rates are down citywide and around the country. Homicide rates are decreasing. However, if you watch the local news stations, you’d think it was chaos and Armageddon.

In the TV news business, the axiom is “if it bleeds, it leads.” This Is Louisville strives to be different. Louisville is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. This website, along with a growing number of others, seeks to remind residents and visitors alike that this is a great place to be.

  1. Hi,

I am Paul Paletti’s gallery assistant. We are updating our press list and would like to include Maggie Huber on it. Is there a particular email address/phone number that we may use for press purposes?

    Thanks,
    Amanda duhon

  2. How would a photographer and writer submit to this amazing magazine? Is it at all possible?
Thank you for such great inspiration!

    1. Hi Rosella,

This website is not affiliated with the This..Is Louisville print edition. That’s Maggie Huber’s publication and she’s doing a great job with it. It ended up being a happy accident that I was launching this site and she was launching her magazine at the same time. I always chalk it up to “great minds.”

    1. Thank you, Melissa. It was great meeting you as well. Keep up with that camera and let me know the kind of art you create with it. After all, we’re Canon buddies. 😉

  3. Tim – I’m coming to Louisville in a few weeks; trying to create stronger links between your city and mine (Leeds) – who are sister cities. As part of what I do I run a project called Looking Good, Leeds.

I think it would be good to talk about how we may work together, maybe?

Any how – my details are below; get in touch!
