When you find yourself lucky enough to cover a top 10 NCAA college basketball team, you want to do it right. When you’re an alum of the school, you want to do it even better. That’s the answer I give my family when they ask why I get to the game so early which is typically 90 minutes before tip-off. In that time period, you get to do your homework, pick out the match ups you want to make sure to get shots of and enjoy the stuff going on behind the television cameras. The Louisville basketball Cardinals continue to cruise, Rick Pitino gets number 300

Last night the University of Louisville basketball Cardinals made another appearance on ESPN’s Big Monday broadcast by taking on old rival Cincinnati. The Cards rolled the team from up I-71 67-51 as they look to go into the Big East tournament. Thankfully, Louisville.com had enabled me to see every home game with my camera. And during the game, I tried a different method of covering with the express purpose of filing my story faster and more efficiently I’m not sure it will work for the two home games we have left, but it felt good.
