Another socially distanced holiday is upon us so we ended up doing a small celebration with close friends. And then there’s the photogeek that figures the alliteration would be cool. All that added up to Monochrome Memorial Day.
So I grabbed my Micro Four Thirds camera (yes, I still love Olympus) and used the built in black and white Art filter. Luckily, I liked the output and put together the collage in the Olympus software.
It was hard to fight the natural inclination to put the images in Lightroom, but I did. And I still like the images.
Sometimes you’ll discover a video game that you think is awesome. That’s what happened to Misty when she upgraded her phone (thanks Tabitha). On this phone was the game Candy Crush. Yes, I know, there are those that have played it for a while, but it’s new to her.
Then, she let Victoria know she likes the game. This is one of those games that Victoria likes as well. And all of a sudden, tag-team Candy Crush was born.
Around our house, friends and clients, I’m known as a Baby Whisperer. It’s not a gift I take lightly, but it is a gift nonetheless. Kids seem to be comfortable around me and open up for photos and general fun. I think it’s because they know I’m just a man who has lived for over 50 years, but is still a kid at heart. Every year, one of the bigger deals in Louisville is the weekend before, or on, St. Patrick’s Day. With the profusion of Irish-themed restaurants along Baxter Avenue, having a parade in conjunction with St. Paddy’s is one of the no-brainers of the city. Continue reading “St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the Highlands”
This past Thursday night, the family got together and headed for Fest-A-Ville kind of on a whim. Misty talked to her BFF Becky who said she wanted to take her daughter, my play-neice, Emma to see the Balloon Glimmer. The Glimmer is a scaled down version of the Great Balloon Glow Continue reading “The 2015 Kentucky Derby Festival Is Off and Glimmering”
I’ve made no secret of my baby whisperer super power. It’s actually pretty cool to have one and nowhere is it more evident than between me and the lovely Emma. Continue reading “Emma and Uncle Tim”
Our friend Whitney hired us for our photographic skills to document the third birthday of her son Ashton. And since they’re big University of Louisville Cardinal fans, we went to the Belknap campus to get some of the ambiance of the sports program of 2013. Continue reading “Is Ashton already three?”
As we continue to shoot senior pictures, Misty and I like to find different locations. One of the best of those hidden gems is Blackacre Nature Conservancy in Jeffersontown so that’s where we took Collin for his portraits. Continue reading “A senior at Blackacre”
