SKETCHBOOK: Watch Yourself

Of course, that’s not a message to Megan and Tyler. They are amazing and I’m excited about the life and the love they’re building with each other. It’s a warning to photographers. Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: Watch Yourself”

SKETCHBOOK: Where’s The House

In Louisville on River Road and Frankfort Avenue, there’s an awesome facade for a house that was built in the 19th century and we did some engagement photos of Megan and Tyler there. Thank goodness the world got smart and decided, “well why not.” Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: I Kissed a Girl”

SKETCHBOOK: Getting in the Dress

The couple, of course, is the main focus and Rob and Brittany are awesome together. Even if you didn’t know them, you could see it just by looking at them. But think about what the next question usually is: didn’t she look stunning in that dress? Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: Getting in the Dress”

SKETCHBOOK: Crazy Little Thing Called Love

When I shoot engagement sessions, I personally like to be able to feel the affection between the couple. I have no empirical evidence of what I’m about to say, but I think it’s really there. When the two people in front of the camera love each other, and genuinely feel it, it makes the photos better. Continue reading “SKETCHBOOK: Crazy Little Thing Called Love”
